Everyday Regular

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Stopped by Everyday Regular to check out some goodies. This is a really nice shop if you are looking for vintage items for men and women. They carry an assortment of shoes, clothes, records, and accessories to choose from.

Some things that they have at the store I consider priceless. You don’t see this type of stuff everyday (no pun intended).

It’s f****** hot!

Monday, July 20th, 2009

Stepped into the warehouse today and realized that the Socal summer sun comes at a price. Props to the crew, they’re busy sweating to death while packing orders.

I’m gonna stay in and hide from that deadly sunlight

Stacks and boxes…

The people order, and we will deliver.

Hot Hot Hot

Sunday, July 19th, 2009

This past Saturday we were part of the Orisue Beer Pong Extravaganza. There was the perfect equation for a good event, beer+food+music+beer pong+more beer=a good time.
Iron Chef Montiel was cooking up a storm.

It is definitely summer time with the heat.
Jason and David were feeling it.

Nap time.

The fly couldn’t stand the heat either because he had to find somewhere to rest.

This is what all the brands were after the glorious beer pong trophy.

Cakedout entered determined.

The pressure started building up.

Team Osiris ended up taking us out, but drinking beer at the end it felt like we were all winners.
Jason and Thomas(FRSH) talking about strategies and how to win the next time around.

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Remembering Hawaii

Friday, July 17th, 2009

Lately it has been really hectic at work going back and forth with Cakedout and Triumvir. I keep thinking about the vacation I had a couple of weeks ago in Hawaii in order to keep sane. One of the memorable moments in Hawaii was going ATV riding at Kualoa Ranch in Oahu. This is the same area where they filmed Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, and Pearl Harbor.

Look familiar to anyone? (Cue in the Jurassic Park theme song)

They also had some bacon lying on the ground.

A food highlight was going to the all you can eat sushi restaurant Hakone. They made sushi fresh to order and there was unlimited amounts of toro (it is the filet mignon of tuna) until the group I was with kept ordering it.

I also happened to find Russell from the movie “UP” working in Hawaii. It seems that he is a chef at Nobu in Parc Hotel.

Man he sure hasn’t changed to much from the movie.

Sneaks

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

I was browsing on my new blackberry during lunch today, when Brian(triumvir) sent me this post on freshnessmag. Apparently, these are in a new safari pack set to release this fall.

Airmax 1’s are my favorite Nike, and these look pretty clean. I wish I could say the same for the pair Brian gave me that I’ve pretty much destroyed in the last 2 months.

Summer time

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

Orisue has made it a summer tradition to host a BBQ for their supporters and friends alike. This year they have decided to add some fun to the BBQ by introducing their First Beer Pong Tournament. Partaking in the tournament are some of the local clothing brands and stores in the area, which include: Orisue, 80’s Purple, Cakedout, FRSH, Grnappletree, Orange County General Store, and Osiris

Putting my Eggs in One Basket

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

I always end up doing the same thing over and over to myself. I put all of my eggs in one basket that I thought would have made my saturday, but it ended in disaster. Every time there is an MMA (mixed martial arts) event I get really pumped up.

This is how I look daydreaming about the events.

I always make predictions before the events and sad to say I was 2-2. I went with Akiyama, Bisping, GSP, and Mir. For those that didn’t see the event Bisping got caught with Henderson’s famous overhand right.

The fight I was looking forward to the most was Lesnar Vs Mir II. Mir won their first match by submission. Lesnar is a beast just look at him.

The match didn’t go the way I wanted it to and Goliath dominated David tonight.

The best way I can sum up the way I felt after watching the event is with this.

Have a good weekend everybody

A Triumvir Morning

Tuesday, July 7th, 2009

This morning I came into the office and Brian had a surprise for us guys that wear size medium. He was giving away some classic triumvir designs that I missed out on.

When these came out, I was a broke college kid who couldn’t afford to go shopping. Now I’m a broke working man that still can’t afford anything, but now I work here and every now and then I come-up on some free clothes. That’s how you start the morning!

Hangover

Monday, July 6th, 2009

Being from the east coast originally, I never got to experience the convenience of a Vegas getaway. Looks like I’m trading my New York trips with Vegas ones.

We rolled through with some of the cakedout family and friends. There were a few C-logos floating around.

The temperatures were over 100. Watching all that water fly around was a tease.

Top priority for the trip was one of our good friend’s birthday. Her family hooked her up real nice.

The whole weekend consisted of glasses being filled, and then being emptied. I’m glad to be back, but I do miss Vegas already.
